How to configure printers on Linux

Unfortunately CUPS managment is related to Linux distribution so there is not a standard way to configure printers

Here the procedure to configure it manually.

From Linux shell, with root privileges, run the following command:

echo "ServerName cups.ct.infn.it" > /etc /cups/client.conf

Restart cups service running the following command (you can do it from the same shell):

service cups restart

(if you reboot the PC/Notebook service also restarts)
